2. Sukkot Unit 8th Grade Only
Unit Objective: By the end of this lesson, students will understand why we sit in a Sukkah on Sukkot. Classroom Activities are in the Power point below, you may make a copy of the Power Point into your own Google Drive.
I think we sit in a sukkah on sukkoth because in the torah it says that we should or that we have to and the jewish people slept in the sukkah as well and they brought it everywhere with them. -- Zachary Benhamou
I think we sit in a sukkah to remind us of the time when we were hot and there was no shade in the dessert so hashem protected us from the sun with a sukkah like structure.
I think we sit in a sukkah because the torah tells us to. I also think we sit in a sukkah because the jews sat in uts in the desert.
