Awesome Ways to Take Your Virtual Bitmoji Classrooms to the Next Level
✅ Bitmoji classrooms are becoming a teacher obsession. Since so many teachers are planning to "return" only to online classrooms in the fall, they're building these colorful virtual environments for their students featuring avatar versions of themselves.

Remote Learning Unit Goal:

Shavuot Scavenger Hunt
As part of our Shavuot Unit each class Period will be divided into two groups to create a fun learning activity.
Each group of students are responsible to work together. This Project will be worth 100 grade points for each group member.
You will be preparing a scavenger hunt for your classmates using the following steps:
- Sit with your assigned group.
- Appoint one person to Create the Google Doc.
- Share the Google Doc with the entire group.
- Create a group name.
- Create seven clues that will lead students to a certain location on campus.
- Create seven Shavuot related actives to be played at each clue (activity must be able to fit into an envelope i.e a word-search, a pipe cleaner flower).
- Create Seven Shavuot related questions which will be used to help the competing teams advance to the next clue. (New clue will only be provided once activity and question is answered).
- Divide up the Scavenger Hunt checklist among your group.
- The game must have a 15 minute time limit and can only be played on schools campus.
Helpful resources for activities, questions and clues:
The Scavenger Hunt will be played by your classmates in two groups who will compete against one another for the prize. Only one group can win.

THE SCAVENGER HUNT WILL BE PLAYED ON THURSDAY & FRIDAY MAY 17th &18th.
FYI: Shavuot begins this Saturday night, and ends on Monday Night. Please join Jews all over the world and attend Synagogue on the first day of Shavuot this Sunday to hear the Ten Commandments being read.

Yom Hashoah - 'Celebrating' Bar/Bat Mitzvah in the Ghetto
In honor of Yom Hashoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) this coming Thursday April 11th, the Seventh Grade will be focusing on the lives of children who 'celebrated' their Bar or Bat Mitzvah in the Ghetto's or concentration camps.
Unit Objective:
By the end of this unit, students will be able to put into perspective the life of a WWII child preparing and 'celebrating' their Bar/Bat Mitzvah with their own.
Work Instructions: We will be studying the life of a young man called Moshe who 'celebrated' his Bar Mitzvah in the Brzeziny Ghetto.
Step 1:

- In a Google Doc that you must create, respond to ALL the writing prompts from the handout.
- If you do not have a computer, please complete your work on paper.
- The links to the 'Watch and Listen' Videos clips can be found by clicking HERE.
Step 2:
- Submit your work via the dropbox on my class page called: 'Bar/Bat Mitzvah in the Getto'.
- If you worked on paper, please turn in your work to the substitute teacher.
