About Rabbi Kahan

Rabbi Yossi Kahan was the Dean of Student & Jewish Life at DKJA in Boca Raton. He previously served as the Middle School Principal at Brauser Maimonides Academy in Hollywood, and the Judaic Studies Department Chair & Curriculum Coordinator at the Scheck Hillel Community School. He earned his BA at the Rabbinical College of America, and his M.Ed at Brandeis University with a focus on Jewish Literacy. He is a Fellow of DSLTI and the Legacy Heritage Institute; programs designed to develop Day School Leaders. Rabbi Kahan is a certified New Teacher Mentor with the Jewish New Teacher Project and a Graduate of The Harvard Graduate School of Education. Rabbi Kahan believes that the study of torah is a journey, not just a destination. Judaism, a way of life, not just a subject. He is passionate about education, technology, art and design.
